William H. Bodenhamer, Jr. has been a leader and developer in ground transportation services, parking garage systems, parking services, and hotel parking operations for over 40 years. He has served and continues to serve as an integral part in the development and growth in premier locations nationwide, including the most recent design and development of a 362-space parking garage with 16,350 square feet of retail space on A1A in Deerfield Beach, Florida.
In 1980, Bodenhamer founded USA Parking System, Inc., the number one hospitality parking management system in the United States with 150 premier locations, 3,000 associates, and operations in 11 states, San Juan and Puerto Rico that manages and operates 50,000 parking spaces with revenues in excess of $100 million. He served as the President & CEO until December 31, 2016 and on January 1, 2017 became Chairman of USA Parking System, Inc.
Bodenhamer started Fort Lauderdale Transportation/USA Transportation in 1980 which continues its operation of Mini Coaches, Luxury Passenger Vans, Luxury Sedans, and Luxury SUV’s. It is the largest transportation company in South Florida with exclusive transportation contracts with premier luxury Hotels and Resorts such as The Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach, The Boca Raton, The Breakers Resort Palm Beach and many more. He is also the managing partner of Taxi USA, LLC, owning and operating taxi operations in North Carolina and Kentucky.
Bodenhamer is a 20% owner of GC Partners, Inc. which owns and operates nine Golden Corral Restaurants in North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida. He is also a 30% real estate owner in the Golden Corral locations.
Bodenhamer has ownership in Marriott hotels in Florida and North Carolina with the latest addition of the Residence Inn by Marriott in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina, a 140 room AC Marriott development in Raleigh, North Carolina and a Marriott Townplace Suites with 137 hotel rooms and 107 one-bedroom apartments.
Bodenhamer attended East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C. and served as President of the student body. He also served as a member of the ECU Board of Trustees for 8 years. Bodenhamer has been serving on AAA boards and committees since 1992.
Bodenhamer is involved in his communities serving on countless boards and advisory committees. Additionally, he has made significant donations to foundations such as The United Way, East Carolina University, Coastal Carolina Community College Foundation Inc., Jack and Jill Children’s Center, First Presbyterian Church of Jacksonville, North Carolina, and Auto Club South Traffic Safety Foundation.
